So happy to have our son home on leave. We met him at the airport and there were several other soldiers that arrived with him.
It was so hard for Grace to wait...
She and her cousin Aurora had made some cute signs...
Finally!
Enjoy your time home son...
We had seen a whole passel of kids, many of them holding signs that said "Welcome Home Mommy!" It was so heartwarming to see the female soldier walk through those doors to her children. I feel so bad for my son being away from his wife and kids, but to be a mother having to leave your children - well, I can't even imagine it. I hope she has a wonderful leave with her family as well.

Thanks Joy. It's easy when you have such wonderful things to write about.

It was so exciting to be there to greet Jake . Grace was like a little grasshopper, hopping all around, waiting. After what seemed like forever to her, there he was, hurrying toward them and it was----

Levi will be here tomorrow night (late) for his last visit before he deploys to Iraq. I feel like Grace waiting. ;-)
And I love that last photo of Jake & family, with grace holding his hand. Wonderful.
Oh Jaci I didn't know Levi was deploying again. I imagine he's going to be gone for a year? I know it will be hard for you. I'm glad you get to spend some time with him before he leaves.
