Ten Things I Learned From Mom...

Use proper English

Never use the word "FART"

Moms will always eat the burned pancake

The person who makes the telephone call, should always be the one to end the call

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all

The words to "Mairzy Doats and Dozy Doats"

No matter how bad you feel, NEVER complain

That "You Are My Sunshine" is the best song in the world to sing to your kids

No matter how old you are, you're never too old to have fun

No matter what, mom will always love you

It's good to occasionally remind ourselves what roles important people have played in our lives. So what are 10 things you learned from YOUR mom?

Kate, I knew you were going to say that! If it makes you feel any better, she TRIED to teach me some of those things, but some I just couldn't learn!

My mom Bonnie Henry taught me that just because it is cloudy outside, doesn't mean it isn't shining somewhere,.....that grouchy wicked people are just only having an 'off' day (or two) 'cause their back is probably hurting them.... that a great source of humor runs rampant in most etiquette books,...... and that I never have to doubt that I am truely appreciated and loved. Ditto mom, Jamie Avery from Sarasota, Florida

Nice to hear from you Jamie! Your mom is wonderful and I'm so glad she and mom have stayed in touch. Isn't it wonderful to remember how much we have, and still do, learn from our moms. As Jacki and Lisa said, we'll ALWAYS need our moms!

Jamie, welcome ! So very glad to hear from you. Your Mom talks about you so much-----you two are as close as I am with my kids.
I just love Bonnie, she's such a good friend !

My mom taught me how to put quarters into a pop machine and get a pop out. You know, essential life skills.

See... she, oh, fart, it's too long of a story.

Anyway, she also taught me to always be kind to children and animals.
