Dad's Slides, Disk 3...

Most of these are from our years in Garden Valley.

Steve taking me for a ride - Winnemucca

Crater Lake vacation - Oregon

Our house in Garden Valley, from the top of the mountain that dad and Steve walked countless times.  Our tv antenna was up there and when we lost reception, one of them had to walk up that mountain to fix it!

Ohhhhhh dear...

Thanks mom,  for allowing me to take the slides and share them.  You made all of us kids very happy!

Shades of June Cleaver, Dee! You sure look pretty.

Was that swimming hole in Alder Creek? And I can't believe the death march it took to fix the TV antenna. We had it pretty good on our side of the valley, I guess.

Yes Casey, that swimming hole was a few hundred feet down Alder Creek from our house. We spent many, many days there!

These all make me feel so nostalgic. Brings back so many wonderful memories and you kids outside playing (kids now don't use their imaginations). Thank you sooooo much, Jodi for turning these slides into discs so we can actually see them. LOVE THEM.

My father worked in federal law enforcement for decades, for the BLM. He often spoke of the death of your father and read many books about it, as he himself was just new to law enforcement when it happened. If it is any comfort, I believe that the many things wildland law enforcement officers have learned from the deaths of Bill and Conley helped keep him safe.
