My High School Reunion...

We met Friday night at the Dirty Shame. I had fun - and a few too many beers. We had plans on Saturday but my stomach wasn't feeling so well. Jacki, my daughter, told me I had the "beer sh!ts" - I don't really drink. I wish someone had told me about the "beer sh!ts" before I drank the beer - we had to come home early.

This is my best friend from school Kathy (and her daughter Beth) we were the two muskateers. I still love her so much, what a wonderful friend...

This is my friend Jerry. He came from a HUGE family and they lived in a tiny shack near the Garden Valley airport. I'm so proud of him. He put himself through college and now has a wonderful engineering job in New Mexico.

A lttile dancing at the Dirty Shame...

This gal, she didn't go to school with us. She was so drunk she stood in the middle of the dance floor, head down, bobbing back and forth - for hours. After the beer I had I was beginning to get sick just watching her. Her mother was also there - very drunk - from what I understand, very typical for her. She's the GV bus driver - nice to know.

After finally finding a spot at a table and passing out, daughter was finally taken away. I love watching people like that, and so glad it wasn't me!

Here I have to tell you an Elmer story. Elmer and I have dated off and on since he was 16 and I was 18. At one point of breakup, I lived with my friend from Garden Valley, Christie Ann. That's how she met Elmer. Elmer and I got back together and then broke up again. Soon after, Elmer and Christie Ann got married. I even went to their wedding. They didn't stay married long, less than a year. Well, last night, guess who showed up at the reunion? Yep, Christie Ann. Even though she lives in Boise (and worked for many years for Elmer's cousin) I hadn't seen her since she and Elmer got divorced (about 30 years ago). Elmer hadn't seen her in that long either.

Elmer decided to be the "bigger person" and walked up to his ex-wife to say hello. She looked at him, very puzzled, and said "Should I know you?" Trying not to sputter, Elmer replied "You should, we used to be married."

When he told me that I about died laughing! I called her over and we just all cracked up. Really? How could you forget living with Elmer????

So, after breakfast, Elmer and I were driving around and came across a small park - yes, there's a small park in GV now, where 3 miniature horses were just walking around. No fence, just wandered in I guess. I got out of the truck to take pictures and was down on one knee because they were so tiny. How friggin' cute is this????

As soon as I knelt down, the cute, tiny baby started walking up to me...

He got closer...

and closer! He walked right up to me and I started scratching his neck and talking to him real sweet. He nuzzled up to me

and bit me.

Little bastard.

So how was your weekend?!

That is freakin' HYSTERICAL that Elmer's ex-wife didn't recognize him. I'll bet she was thinking, "He's kinda cute. I hope he's not mad that I can't remember his name!" :-)

Also funny that the little horse bit you. It's further proof of my theory that if horses had sharp teeth, they'd eat us all.

That is SO frickin funny that Christie-Ann couldn't remember him!! Aaawww poor Elmer. Apparently he didn't make much of an impression on her.

Wait....I thought Adam doesn't know about her. Does he not read your blog??

Kate, I think Adam knows his dad was married before us. Besides, he's 16. I'm sure he can handle it!

Casey, sorry we missed you today :(

OMG I laughed so hard all the way through that tale. and then the horse and teeth---. Casey, apparently you've never been bitten by a horse. Honey, they DO have sharp teeth and yes they could eat us. But first they buck us off and step on us.
I say lucky Elmer that She didn't recognize him. I would have loved to have seen his face, though. then hers.

I don't know which is funnier: Elmer's ex-wife or the stupid mini-horse.

I hope the horse didn't bite too hard. At least he didn't kick you in the shins...

I know Jaci, that would have hurt. I should have backhanded him, would have knocked him out he was so tiny!
