Good News Girls!

I met with the genetic counselor this morning and my breast cancer wasn't genetic/inherited and there is no increased risk of ovarian cancer!
So, she suggests that sisters/daughters/nieces start getting mammograms at 36 instead of 40 but other than that you're safe as far as current genetics tests go!

It is very good news! Just continue to be aware and have check-ups. And I know you will.
Thank you Jodi for having the test.

Spectacular! And YES to mamograms at 36. Too many women are going to be facing lymphnode involvement if they wait until 40.
