Positive Changes
I keep seeing ads on tv about Positive Changes Hypnosis Centers. They can supposedly help you quit smoking and lose weight. However, EVERY. SINGLE. AD. I see for the weight loss end of it features someone from Spokane. Are all the fat people in the world living in Spokane???? Kate?

Links
I've added a couple of Links to my blog. My sister-in-law Pam who is currently going through chemotherapy and is one of the strongest people I know, and her daughter Kelly who lives in France. She takes some of the most beautiful pictures! She does all the stuff I wish I had been brave enough to do. Some of it's pretty scary like rock climbing. I guess I'll never figure out what people see in doing that. It's scary, it's dangerous, and it's really hard work. I guess I look at rock climbing like jogging - if I ever see someone doing it with a smile on their face, then maybe I'll consider giving it a try.
Ok, Kelly has a smile on her face in this picture, but I think it's a smile of fear, like "Help me!"

Did You Know There's a QVC of Men?
Boy have things changed since I was dating over 22 years ago. We used to have to physically leave home to find our perfect mates. Well, I'll be damned, now there's a QVC of men called Match.com. It's freakin' amazing! You get on your computer and "shop" for a guy! You get to see what he looks like without having to look him in the eye! You can see if he's a nice looker, and if you like him, you can read all about him to see if he's your type!
I'm glad I have my wonderful husband of 22 years, but don't tell him, but I did me some shoppin' and lookey here what I found!
You can get 'em as singles...
Or, if you can't decide, you can get a pair...
And shoot, I even found twins!

Mexico...
Mom at a little place we stopped to have a cool drink.
Not quite the same way mom's name is spelled, but I thought this sign was fun! I'm going to crop it and have a big photo done for my kitchen.
This is a magnificent resort we stopped by with a georgous view of the ocean. This is where the gringos live/stay in Mexico.
Quite a contrast to where the working people of Mexico live. It must have been wash day, every house had their laundry out on lines.
Thanks mom, it was so much fun!

Reincarnation...
Mom and I have just returned from a week-long cruise. While we had hoped to get a reading from a Medium, evidently there were a lot more spirits there who were pushier than dad, he didn't get to the front of the line. I'll blog more about that tomorrow but tonight, I have to tell you about reincarnation.
I discovered that a lot of people on this cruise believe that many, if not all of us, have past lives. I have to admit, it sounds rather interesting. Our Medium was talking to all of us saying, "how many of you have done such and such, or been someplace, or" anyway, she named about 6 things and as I looked around, I noticed everyone nodding. THEY had all experienced these things, why was I sitting there like a dummy thinking, "where the hell have I been?" Anyway, I discovered that everyone else has past lives, everyone but me. We were sitting at dinner one night with a small group and reincarnation came up. Someone asked me, "So what do you think you were in a past life?"
Well, you all know how I use "I've been through chemotherapy" as an excuse for anything and everything I do that's stupid, forgetful, or crappy. Well, I'm now adding to that and I have a new tag line:
I'VE HAD CHEMOTHERAPY - AND I'VE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE. I figure this will cover all my bases for the remainder of my time on earth.

The Breast Cancer Scare...
Before I leave on my cruise, I have to reflect again, how how TRULY fortunate and blessed I am. My sister Kate has blogged about a girl (http://sweetpot8o.blogspot.com/) who took a gene test and found out she has the gene that gives her a 90% chance of getting breast cancer at some time in her life. Scary, but certainly not a death sentence. Cancer research has come so far and it seems women are so much stronger now, much of which is possibly due to greater knowledge from so many resources about cancer.
However, I chose NOT to know too much. While my friend Sue, who's had cancer 5 times, read about and found out EVERYTHING she possibly could from her doctors, I find I do so much better knowing as little as possible. To me, it seems the more you know, the more you worry.
I love the picture below. They're sister's-in-law who decided to make their scars a little more attractive. Not sure I would want to do this, but YOU GO GIRLS!
Anyway, Kate's blog made me think about how often I remind myself how happy I am with life in general. If I died tomorrow, I HAVE BEEN TRULY FORTUNATE!
