Jacob Springs, Day 83...

It's Labor Day weekend.  A few days ago I went up and saw these two fawns crossing the driveway.   Is there anything cuter than a baby deer?  I don't think so.

We finally got Ival's folks up to see the house.  We had to wait until we had stairs.

Adam has decided that the roof and adjoining dirt pile are his private playground.  Yes, as a good mother I warned him that he could break his back, break a leg, put an eye out, bite his tongue off.  All that stuff but it made no difference.

I sure wish I had a better camera.  My pictures of wildlife are always washed out.  This young hawk hangs out up there all the time.  I think he's one of the dirty birds that ate the chickens.

I hope you're having a wonderful 3-day weekend!

  1. Great pictures!! I love the ones of Adam jumping off the roof.

As for the camera, until you get a good one, you can use free internet programs to edit the crap out of your pictures. That's what I do, and I have a good camera! I like picmonkey. You can adjust the exposure (so they're not so washed out), pop the color etc. It's FUN to play with.

  4. Ohhh the fawns are sooo cute. And very great pictures.

As for Adam jumping off the roof---he might ask Andrea how that feels to put up with an injured spine the rest of yur life.
Adam, that is a bad, wrong, foolish thing to do. STOP IT----NOW !!!!

  6. Aren't boys fun?

The fawns are wonderful - am so jealous.

I use software editing, too. Yay for digital editing.

The hawk was not washed out at all, but very out-standing. Sorry he ate your chickens (or she), but ... I love hawks.
