Jacob Springs, Day 65...

I took some new pictures this morning and thought about the fact that within 2 months we'll be living here.  We're really excited.

They stained the deck - weathered gray.

My jetted tub is in!

Here's the back side of the house...

and the west side...

one of the many flowers Ival has planted.  I love the color of this sunflower.

and a strange footprint I found this morning.  It obviously has 4 toes.  Looks to big to be a bobcat, but too small to be a cougar.  Any ideas?  I'm going to have to borrow that camera we gave mom for Christmas and mount in on one of the posts on the porch to see what critters we're getting up there!

  3. I showed this picture to one of the biologists here and he said "young couger." I thought Lynx, but he said they'd never be in the foothills of Boise in this heat.

Yeah, get the game camera!! That will be so cool.

And the pictures of your house make me all verklempt. It's really coming along! And I LOOOOOOVE that porch. Oh my god.

  4. This is posting from Jacki 'cause I'm on her computer, but it's from me. That's awesome Kate. Linda and I will get the camera up there tonight and see if we can get pictures of the little bugger! We're missing 2 hens and I have a feeling this cat has been around a few days. I found 2 good prints but this one was the best. It was only about 25 feet from the porch.
