Will the Real Bill Pogue... Day 11/30

When mom and dad moved to Boise they soon discovered that there was ANOTHER Bill Pogue in town. He was a doctor that had moved here from the small town of Council. It didn't take long before dad started getting medical calls in the middle of the night and Dr. Pogue started getting poaching calls. It was so unusual that the Idaho Statesman decided to do a story about it.

The third Bill Pogue, he was an astronaut that didn't live in Boise. He just had the same name so I guess they decided to include him.

If you have a hard time reading it, click on the picture and it should enlarge enough that if you get out your readers and a magnifying glass you should be ok.

  2. If it appears that Bill was grumpy, he was ! The Statesman reporter bugged him many times a day for days! until I finally talked him into going to their office. He went , MUCH against his better judgment. And then of course his good buddies at the dept. teased him relentlessly. THAT didn't help.

  4. Two of them have moustaches. What's with that?? Some sort of Idaho thing? LOL. No wonder they got mixed up. ;)

In a not-so-funny life is similar event, there is another Donald C. Presley in Portland. We've had calls from divorce lawyers and even had child support papers delivered to us. Um, hello? Wrong SSN. The lawyer was funny when I called her to tell her that MY husband was still married... TO ME. I was not as amused...

  5. Jaci, that reminds me of another story.
We got MANY calls for the dr. and one day I got an invitation to a fancy-dancy lovely luncheon at St. Lukes. I declined ( not my thing). A few days later it occurred to me that it was for the Dr's wife.
I called her ( she was his 2nd wife) and said " this is the other Mrs. Pogue------" when she let out an expletive, stopping the conversation. ooooops
