Nope, not a feeling, not the music in me, not the clap, not a crush on you, not a brand new pair of roller skates (damn that was a good song) - not even a lovely bunch of coconuts.
A few weeks ago mom called me.
"I ordered something for you from QVC today."
"Really?! What?" Damn I love surprises.
"A Roaming Gnome."
"Get Outta Here!"
Now, I have to admit, I had never thought that I needed or wanted, a Roaming Gnome. But the more I thought about it, the more I thought how much I really did, not only want, but need, a Roaming Gnome.
So, today he came...
I hope this doesn't sound racist, but to me, they all look alike. So, I shall have fun with him. I'll dress him up for holidays, I'll take him with me to Walmart where I'll strap him into the seat on the shopping cart. Occasionally, he will be hidden somewhere in a picture I post on my blog and if you find him first, you'll win a wonderful prize! Ok, that's a bunch of crap, but it'll be fun to see if I can hide him in some pictures.
I will call him RG. He's my new best friend.
Thanks mom!
OMG... what ever you do DO NOT put him outside!!!! Uh... funny you should post this now, I just found out that if you live in Hidden Springs, having a yard gnome means somthing...
ReplyDeleteI should say, don't put him outside... unless you have a freaky-deaky side of you guys that I don't know about...
ReplyDeleteOh heck, those people are all divorced and gone now. Yep, that lifestyle really worked out well for them!
ReplyDeletethey're still up there! LOL! My sister was telling me about them just yesterday... and it's an LDS group. Ick!
ReplyDeleteGet outta here! Is this a church supported activity? I know they do love "family" time!
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP! MOM! GET THAT GNOME OUT OF YOUR YARD!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've had mine out in my front yard for a few days and I've not had any "visitors". ------so now I can't even have my little Buddy out there? he's soooooo cute and looks so darlin' under my flag.
ReplyDeleteSOMEBODY always spoils my fun !
This cracked me up. A couple of years ago I gave my friend a Dallas Cowboys Gnome. She named him Tex. To this day, she is always texting me pics . . Me and Tex at the beach . . Me and Tex drinkin' a beer . . she takes him everywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny B! Right now, RG is sitting on the fireplace mantle with a pair of my 16-year-olds underwear on his head. I'm always after him to take his clothes upstairs where they belong. I think he's thumbing his nose at me...
